How to Complete the Business Driver:
Once you receive your materials, you will see there are three areas to evaluate and complete. This is what you can expect:
The first sections (1 to 6)
These sections look at the way you do things in your business, and you can choose from five response options, for example:
- No, I haven't thought about it
- Having recognized the need for this, I am thinking of doing something
- Yes
- Yes, and over time, I have seen real benefit from doing it
- This is fundamental to the way I manage and could be seen as best practice in the industry
The next section (7)
This section asks you what your business is achieving, and the five response options are:
- No
- Yes
- We have data showing improvement over 1-2 years
- We have data showing steady improvement over 3 years
- We have data showing sustained excellent performance over 5 years
The Final Section
The final section of this booklet is an employee questionnaire and revisits sections 1-7 from an employees viewpoint. You will notice that some of the questions in the earlier sections are marked with an asterisk * and they relate to similar questions in the employee section. Use the employee responses to test or validate your own views.
