As the co-sponsors of the United States Senate Productivity Awards, which are administered by the California Council for Excellence, we are pleased to serve as CCE's Honorary Co-Chairs.

Since 1994, we have been proud to be associated with the CCE. As your United States Senators, we have worked diligently to improve the growth and success of California's manufacturing and business sectors by championing performance excellence.

Through the principles and criteria of the Malcolm Baldrige Award, we have seen a dramatic improvement in how businesses, healthcare organizations, and educational institutions perform and benefit our society.

We are very proud of the fact that California can claim eight Malcolm Baldrige Award winners including two recipients of the U.S. Senate Productivity Award, Solar Turbines of San Diego, and the Boeing Company's Airlift & Tanker Program based in Long Beach.

We encourage your participation in the California Awards for Performance Excellence (CAPE) and we hope encourage you to allow your employees to serve as Examiners for this worthwhile Baldrige-based awards program. It's a great experience!
